  • Write and place advertising in local newspapers, email large data base of prospective buyers, list sale and pictures on EstateSales.NET and this website, use yard signage for locating the sale, and distribute flyers to local businesses
  • Need 2-3 weeks for set up in the home prior to a 2-3 day sale
  • Adequately staff sale throughout the house
  • Require homeowner’s insurance be in effect
  • Allow no presales or previews prior to opening sale after sales agreement is signed
  • Provide references upon request
  • Provide client with list of items selling for more than an agreed amount
  • Assist in disposing of unsold items at client’s directions
  • Charge commission (generally 35%) on the gross sales of the estate sales proceeds
  • Provide check to client within agreed time after the sale
